There are two different High Definition (HD) decoders on offer, the HD-PVR and the HD-PVR2P. The HD-PVR allows viewing of one DSTV channel and recording of two other DSTV channels at the same time. The HD-PVR2P allows viewing of one DSTV channel and recording of one other DSTV channel at the same time.

Package 1 - High Definition PVR (HD-PVR)

• Supply and install an HD-PVR compatible satellite dish kit and accessories, HD-PVR Decoder, Smartcard, 1 remote control, cabling and installation to 1 TV set [New Installation]. Price - R5,250.
• Customer with own HD-PVR decoder where no other DSTV satellite installation exists: We supply and install an HD-PVR compatible satellite dish kit and accessories, cabling and installation to 1 TV set. Price - R2,250.
• Customer with own HD-PVR decoder, where PVR or Dual View installation to 2 TV sets already exists: We supply and install all accessories required to enable HD reception, cabling, install and configure customer’s decoder. Price - R1,250.
• Customer with own HD-PVR decoder, where a Single View installation already exits: We supply and install all accessories required to enable HD reception, cabling, install and configure the customer’s decoder. Price - R1,550.
• Supply and install an HD-PVR decoder and all accessories required to enable HD reception where a complete Dual View/PVR installation to 2 TV points already exists. Price - R5,350.
• Supply and Install an HD-PVR decoder where a complete Single View installation exists. Price - R5,500.

In all the above HD packages the cabling to the 2nd TV is not HDMI cabling.

Package 2 - HR-PVR2P Packages

• Supply and install an HD-PVR2P compatible satellite dish kit, HD-PVR2P Decoder, Smartcard, 1 remote control, cabling and installation to 1 TV set [New HD-PVR2P Installation]. Price - R4,000.
• Customer with own HD-PVR2P decoder where no other DSTV satellite installation exists: We supply and install an HD-PVR2P compatible satellite dish kit and accessories, cabling and installation to 1 TV set. Price - R1,850.
• Customer with own HD-PVR2P decoder, where a dish kit with a twin LNB is already installed: We supply and install all accessories required to enable HD reception, cabling, install and configure customer’s decoder. Price - R650.
• Customer with own HD-PVR2P decoder, where a Single View installation already exits: We supply and install all accessories required to enable HD reception, cabling, install to one TV set and configure the customer’s decoder. Price - R1,250.
• Supply and install an HD-PVR2P decoder and all accessories required to enable HD reception where an installation with a twin dish kit and cabling to two TV points already exists. Price - R2,850.
• Supply and Install an HD-PVR2P decoder to one TV point where a Single View installation to one TV point exists. Price - R3,500.

In all the above HD packages the cabling to the 2nd TV is not HDMI cabling.

Package 4 - Upgrade of existing installation
to Extra View

• Customer with own decoders and requires Extra View setup where no other DSTV installation exists, we will supply and install an Extra View compatible satellite dish kit and accessories, cabling and installation to two TV sets for the following prices:
  • HD-PVR and HD-PVR decoders - R2,550
  • HD-PVR and HD-PVR2P decoders - R2,450
  • HD-PVR and Single View decoders - R2,350
  • HD-PVR2P and Single View decoders - R2,350
  • Single View decoder and Single View decoder - R2,150


• Customer with own decoders and an existing Single View installation requiring upgrade of the installation to Extra-View decider. We will supply and install all accessories required, cabling and installation to 2 TV points as follows:

Package 6 - MultiChoice PVR

It allows you to watch two DSTV channels simultaneously from one decoder and gives the ability to pause, rewind and record live TV.

• 60 cm satellite dish kit, complete with twin LNB.
• MultiChoice PVR decoder.
• MultiChoice Smartcard.
• Two remote controls, batteries and leads.
• Installation to 2 TV points.

Price: R1,250 - re-install to 2 points (using customer's own satellite dish kit and decoder).

Package 7 - Satellite dish kit Single Package

• Satellite dish kit complete with single LNB.
• Installation to one TV.

TV & HI-FI Repairs

We also do repairs to TV sets and HI-FI systems at customer’s premises. We charge a callout fee of R350 plus labour and replacement parts costs. The labour and parts costs will be agreed with the customer before the repairs are done.

Hotel/Townhouse/Hospital Communal Systems

We supply and install all materials required to bring Multichoice DSTV and TV aerial channels into hotels, hospitals and townhouse complexes. We will travel to any site where such services are required and give a free quotation. We have successfully completed several hotel, hospital and townhouse complex installations, and references are available on request.

Additional Point

Where a Multichoice DSTV or TV aerial installation already exists, and there is a need to install cabling to an additional TV.

Price: R550

Booster

Where a Multichoice DSTV or TV aerial installation already exists, and the picture is not clear or has 'showers', we will supply and install an amplifier or signal booster.

Price: R750

Remote Blasters

Where a Multichoice Single View or Multichoice Dual View Decoder installation already exists and customer wants to be able to change channels from a TV other than the TV where the decoder is, we will supply and install a set of remote blasters.

DSTV Remote Controls

Where a Multichoice DSTV installations already exists, and customer needs replacement remote controls, we will supply DSTV decoder remote control.

Price: R250 each

TV Arm

Where a Multichoice DSTV or TV aerial installation already exists and customer requires TV (up to 54cm) to be mounted onto the wall, we will supply and install a TV arm.

Price: R850

LCD/Plasma Bracket

Where a Multichoice DSTV or TV aerial installation already exists and customer requires LCD/Plasma screen (up to 42 inch) to be mounted onto the wall, we will supply and install an LCd / Plasma bracket:

We also supply & install ceiling mounted LCD/Plasma screen brackets of any size.  Pricing on these can only be given after inspecting the site where they are to be installed.

Signal Strength Correction

Where a Multichoice DSTV installation already exists, and customer is experiencing problems with the strength and/or quality of the reception, e.g when 'SCANNING' or 'SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL' messages appear on TV screen, we will correct with one of the following:
Re-align dish to restore signal - R450
Replace Single LNB with new one - R650
Replace Twin LNB with new one - R850
Replace Quad LNB with new one - R1,450

Home Theatre/Sound Systems

Where a customer has his/her own home theatre system (out of the box system) and all cables, we will install and configure the system - R550

For customised sound systems and installation of ceiling mounted projectors, we will request to inspect the installation site prior to giving a quotation. 

General Service Call

Where a Multichoice DSTV or TV aerial installation already exists and customer requires advice on or assistance with the operation of already installed equipment, we will send a technician to offer such advice and/or assistance for a call-out fee - R450
